Setia Guard came together in 2011 when a small group of legal practitioners in Melaka noticed a consistent gap in the market. People approaching retirement — or those who had already retired and found their pension entitlements disputed — often had nowhere to turn for measured, honest advice. General legal firms were either too expensive, too broad, or simply too rushed to sit with a client and explain their situation properly.
The founding partners decided to focus entirely on pension and retirement law. That focus has remained unchanged. Over more than a decade, we have helped hundreds of individuals in Malaysia understand their EPF entitlements, prepare appeals against adverse decisions, and untangle the terms of their workplace retirement schemes. Throughout, the approach has been the same: we listen first, explain clearly, and leave decisions entirely with the client.
The name Setia Guard reflects a commitment that runs through everything we do. Setia — faithful, loyal — describes the relationship we aim to build with every client. We are here to protect what belongs to them.
Our office in Kota Laksamana, Melaka is an unhurried place. Appointments are given sufficient time. Documents are reviewed properly. Questions — however many there are — are welcomed. We do not operate on volume; we operate on care.
